Kyle and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary yesterday. It's hard to believe that it has been 2 years since we got married!! Kyle ended up having the day off from work so we were able to spend the whole day together. Our day started off with Kyle letting me sleep in while he went to 2 doctors appointments. He has been having some chest pains lately so to be safe I made him make an appointment to get it checked out. After a few tests and a full physical Kyle is fine. The Dr wants him to see a cardiologist to make sure but he's confident that everything is great and they won't find anything wrong. What a relief it is to hear that Kyle's healthy and everything's ok. The other appointment he had was with the orthodontist. Kyle has been complaining about his teeth shifting so his mom made an appointment for him to see the Dr. she works for. Kyle only thought he was going in for a consultation but he ended up walking out with braces on his bottom teeth. It's such a blessing that Kyle's mom works for an orthodontist because him having braces is no cost for us. Thanks mom!! =)
So when Kyle got home from his eventful morning our anniversary celebration started. Kyle took me to see the movie Mirror Mirror. It was such a cute movie I recommend seeing it. After the movie Kyle didn't want to go home so he took me to go play mini golf at King Putt. It was so nice going on a Tuesday afternoon because the place was pretty much empty so we were able to be silly and take fun pictures without bugging anyone. haha Im not very good at golf but I didn't do too bad. I even beat Kyle and he goes golfing with my dad all the time so I felt pretty good!! =)
For this anniversary we didn't want to spend a ton of money on dinner or on activities. We have a little one on the way so we need to be saving as much as we can right now. So instead of going out to dinner we decided we would make dinner together at home. I found a few yummy recipes on Pinterest that I wanted to try so for dinner we made lasagna in a skillet. It actually turned out really good and it wasn't hard to make at all. It actually might be something I make more often. For dessert we had chocolate covered strawberries.
On our wedding day we were lucky enough to have my cousin make us a video of the whole day. It is so nice to go back on every anniversary and watch our special day. Watching our wedding video together was such a fun ending to our day. It brought back so many fun memories. It was fun watching it and talking about what we were thinking at that very moment. We were both so nervous that we couldn't even enjoy the yummy food at our reception. haha Our wedding day was perfect! Everything went completely as planned and we couldn't have asked for better people to share it with. It's so crazy to think that all of that was 2 years ago! The time has gone by really fast. I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend. Kyle is such an amazing husband and I can't wait to share many more anniversaries with him in the future.
