Surprise!!!

SURPRISE!!! Kyle and I are going to be PARENTS!!! I still can't believe it!! Our little one will be here around 8/11/12 and we couldn't be more excited!! Im about 8 1/2 weeks along right now and I'm already feeling pregnant! I am tired all the time and I feel sick all day long. It's been tough but I know it's all worth it!! Kyle and I went for our first ultrasound the other day and we are already in love!! We can't wait to be parents!!

Birthday Girls!!

On October 7th I turned 24!! To celebrate my birthday Kyle and I took the day off to spend time together. With him being in school and working full time we never get to see each other so spending all together was much needed. On my birthday we got up and Kyle got me dunkin donuts. We werent planning on having a cake for my bday so he thought it would be cute to put candles on my donuts. such a cute husband i have!! Well once we got ready we went and got a couple massage. Best gift ever!! We both need to relax so it was nice!! After Kyle took me shopping and out to lunch. Later that night we went to dinner with my family and then Kyle and I went to the Blink 182 concert. I think Kyle was more excited about the concert than I was but I ended up LOVING it!! I cant thank Kyle enough for such a fun day.
On October 8th our cute little niece Lily turned 1!!! She is the cutest thing ever!! For her first birthday Kristin planned a tinkerbell party for her and it was adorable!! You cant really tell in the pics but the thing around her highchair is her tinkerbell tutu. =) My sister in law is so creative and crafty I wish i could be like her!! After Lilys party the family went to dinner to celebrate both our birthdays. Overall it was a good birthday for both of us.

Mexico

I am the worst at keeping our blog updated!! Well to fill you in we ended our summer with a trip to Mexico. Kyle and I went with his sister and her family and we had a blast!! I was a little scared to cross the border with everything going on but there was nothing to be scared about. We crossed without even being stopped to check if we had passports. Once we finally got there it was time to relax. The whole week was filled with yummy food and lots of tanning...more like burning for me. =( We had such a good time and we cant thank Kristin and Chad enough for inviting us to tag along.

Maxwell Oscar Spring

While we were in St George our nephew was born!! He was born on July 7, 2011 at 8:35 pm. The big boy was 9 lbs 10 ozs. Natalie was induced at 4 am that morning and after being in labor for 16 hours the doctor decided that the only way he was coming out was if they went in and got him. The c-section was scheduled for 8 pm that night and 35 mins later Max was here!! Natalie and Max are home now and they are doing great!! He is such a sweet little boy! He has the cutest chubby cheeks i have ever seen!! I am one proud aunt thats for sure! This little boy is the first grandchild in the family so we are all so excited hes here. He is one very loved baby and we cant wait to spoil him!!!

St George Trip

For Kyles birthday we took a weekend trip to St George. We have been wanting to go up to Tuacahn to see the plays so what a perfect time to go than for his birthday!! Kyle's dad has a place there so we stayed at their place to save a few bucks. His dad and mel were there for the night so it was good visiting and going to breakfast with them. At work all of the girls kept telling me to go to Cracker Barrel so we went for breakfast and oh my gosh!! SO GOOD!! I had the pancakes and cheese hash browns and they were to die for!!! I dont know why I am just now finding out about this place!! I will be going back next time were in St G for sure!! When Robb and Mel left Kyle and I hung out at the house and relaxed for a few hours. Before going to Little Mermaid we decided to do some birthday shopping at the outlet mall. Kyle got some shorts and insisted I get something as well. What a sweet husband!! Unfortunately things kind of went south as the night went on. We were so excited about our show but 20 mins into it it started pouring rain!! After 30 mins of waiting in the rain with plastic bags over our heads they announced they were canceling the show for the night. We were pretty sad about it but Tuacahn is awesome and they gave us vouchers to come another time during the season. So we went home in the crazy rain and watched a movie and went to bed. The next day we went and walked the grounds of the St George temple and went to the visiting center. The temple is so pretty there and we got a few cute pics. After the temple we went and got a milkshake at Iceberg. We had never been there so when we asked for a regular sized shake we didnt think we would get as much as we did. Lesson learned for next time. Get the mini size. =) We had a few hours to kill before our play that night so we thought it would be fun to go to the Wildlife Museum. We were the only ones in there but we had a lot of fun. We took our time going through seeing all the crazy bugs and animals. We got a few fun pics too. My favorite was the butterfly wall. There are a ton of different butterflies and they are all so pretty and unique. After the museum we went to our show. We were praying for good weather this time. We were seeing Grease so I was really excited. I grew up watching that movie so I was really hoping we wouldnt get rained out like the night before. Fortunately the weather was beautiful and the show was awesome! They did such a good job and the music was great!!! The next day was the end of our trip. We took our time getting up and got home that evening. It was such a good vacation. it was nice to get away with just Kyle and have fun together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!! On July 6th my cute husband turned 23! In his family they have a tradition where the whole family goes out to dinner of their bday. So for Kyle's birthday he decided to eat at Bucca Di Beppo. Italian food is our favorite so I was way excited that thats where he wanted to go. After dinner we had the family come over to our new house for cake and ice cream. It was their first time at our new place so I made sure there were pics on the walls and the house was clean. =) Its still a work in progress but it's pretty cute. Kyle loves white confetti cake so I made him his favorite cake and put trick candles on it. It was so funny watching him try to blow them out. With our niece Matti's help he finally got them out. =) While he was opening presents Matti decided it would be fun to get into our Rex's cage. It was so funny seeing her act like a dog and it was really funny when we put rex in the cage with her. Kyle got very spoiled on his bday as always. He is so loved by everyone. I really do have an amazing husband!! Happy birthday Kyle!!

4th of July

4th of July was really fun this year. My parents had access to their friends pool so we were able to go swimming during the day which was really fun. We tried convincing my dad to get a pool for their house but it didnt work. =( it was so nice spending time with family having fun. That night we went over to my sister in laws house for a BBQ and fireworks. The food was amazing as always. Kristin is such a good cook i wish i could be as good as her. She also made cake balls and of course they were yummy!! Matti loved the fireworks it was so cute watching her enjoy them. She was a little unsure about the big ones but she still had a lot of fun. Overall it was a really good day. We love having family so close to spend holidays with.

My best friend from hair school got married a few weeks ago up in Salt Lake. So Kyle and I took a little trip up to Utah to be at her sealing. It was so good seeing her as well as some of my other really good friends from school. I miss all my friends from school so it was really fun seeing them again. Val looked gorgeous as always! I am so happy for her and Ozzy. She waited for her missionary as well so seeing them make it the two years and get married was so fun. I am so happy for them and I am so glad I was able to go to their wedding and be there for their special day. Kyle and I also went down to Manti with my sister and dad to see the Manti pageant. It was Kyles first time seeing it so it was really fun. The whole weekend was really nice. Its always nice to get away and see friends and family.

Fathers Day

For Father's Day this year my sister and I wanted to go all out for our dad. He is the best dad out there. He sacrifices so much for his family. He is such a great example to me and I am so blessed to have him in my life and to be his daughter. For Father's Day my family had a BBQ for all the dads in the family. We wanted to make it special so Tiff and I decorated the house and made a really cute candy gram for our dad. It was so fun having all the dads together for their special day. We had my dad, my Grandpa, and my brother who is a father to be. The whole day was so much fun being with family. I love all the Father's in my life. Happy Fathers Day!

I finally got a job in a salon!!! The way I landed this job has been such a blessing!! Friday I went into Maly's where I always go for my hair products and I was talking to the lady that works there about finding a job. She was telling me about how I should go check out the salon Jagged Edge. She was telling me how nice the owners were and how they are looking for a stylist. Well right after she said that Bob the owner walked up behind me!! So she introduced us and Bob and I started chatting. Well to make a long story short Bob asked me to come into the salon the following day (today) and he can introduce me to his wife and show me around the salon. This happened around 2:30 today and I walked out with a job as a stylist!!! This has been such a blessing and I am so excited to finally be putting my education to use and to finally be doing what I love! I am so excited to start my career!!! My New Obsession

My new obsession is going to body pump classes at LVAC! I am in love with it!! My sister in law told me about it and now im hooked!! The class works everything!! It consists of a lot of arm workouts, squats, lunges, abs, everything!! The first time I took the class I walked out being SO SORE!! It totally kicked my butt!! It's a good thing though and I love being sore after a good workout!! I totally recommend going to this class it's so much fun and you will LOVE it!!

My best friend Linz found her prince charming and shes getting MARRIED!!!! I of course knew this would happen because she caught the bouquet at my wedding!! This past weekend was her bridal shower here in Vegas and I was so excited to see her!! It was so much fun seeing her as well as some other girls I havent seen in a long time. Her shower was very nice and I loved seeing her face get all embarrassed with some of her gifts. I am so excited for her and Jake and I know they are going to have such a happy life together. Our 1 Year Anniversary!!

I know Im a few weeks late but On April 10th Kyle and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary!!!! 1 year down and eternity to go!! Our first year of marriage has been an adventure for us but spending it with my best friend and the love of my life makes it so much better!! Kyle is such an amazing husband! He is such a hard worker and I dont know anyone as loving, patient, caring, generous, and kind hearted as him. I by far have the best husband in the world and I am so lucky to spend eternity with him!!

So to celebrate our first year of marriage Kyle and I had a "staycation". We stayed the night at the Red Rock and had dinner at the Yard House. Our room was amazing and my favorite part was the tub!! it was HUGE!!! Dinner was really good as well. We have heard a lot of good things about the Yard House so we thought we would try it and we both really liked it. Kyle knew i had never gambled before so he thought it would be fun to let me spend a dollar on the slots and i must say its fun pulling it but other than that im not a huge fan. I spent a dollar and lost 90 cents. So yeah not a fan but it was fun to say I did it once. Our anniversary was so much fun. It was very relaxing and it was nice to just spend time with Kyle and think back on our first year as a married couple. Kyle is a great husband and I am so excited for all the many anniversaries to come!

Kyle and I went on a mini vacation with his brother Josh, Carrie, Kristin, Chad, and Matti to 6 Flags. It has been such a long time since Kyle and I both have been there so we were really excited to go on all the fun roller coasters. We got there Sunday afternoon and went to the beach to put our toes in the sand. It was pretty cold so we couldnt do much more. Monday morning we woke up nice and early to make it to 6 Flags when it opened. We had such a fun time going on all the rides and just being silly. I think Mattison had a good time as well. She is such a thrill seeker i love it!! Her favorite ride was the Scrambler and I went on it with her its pretty intense!! When the park closed we pulled an all nighter and drove back to Vegas that night but I think we all had such a good time and it was really nice to get out of Vegas for a few days and spend time with family having fun!

Matti Mouse Turned 3!!

On April 7th our niece Matti turned 3!! This was the first year Kyle and I have been able to celebrate her birthday with her. Her first birthday Kyle was on his mission and her second birthday we were on our honeymoon so we were really excited to be with her this year on her special day. Matti just went to Disneyland for her first time about a month ago and she came back LOVING Minnie Mouse so for her bday the party was Minnie Mouse themed. My sister in law did such a good job with making Mattison's birthday one to remember. She had the best details and the best food!! She made Minnie and Mickey carmel apples ( I helped make these and it took 6 hours...never again!), cakepops, and yummy cupcakes. Everything was so cute and the party was so much fun! Kaitlin's Goodbye Dinner

My really good friend Kaitlin is moving to Chicago so to say goodbye a bunch of us girls went to Olive Garden for dinner last Saturday. It was so nice catching up with all these girls and we had such a fun time talking and laughing. I have really missed hanging out with the girls so this was just what I needed. All of these girls are amazing and it's so crazy that after so many years we can still get together for dinner. Thank you Kaitlin for planning this fun night!! We are really going to miss you!!!!

Newport 2011

About a month ago Kyle and I went to Newport for a little vacation with my family. It was so nice to get away from Vegas for a few days and just relax. The first day we were there we went to the beach and had lunch Ruby's which is right on the pier. The weather was pretty cold so we werent able to play around on the beach which was sad because we were so excited to lay out and play in the sand. The next few days we just hung out and relaxed. Kyle went golfing with my dad while us girls went and got pedicures. Kyle enjoyed golfing and I loved getting pampered. What girl doesnt though right?? lol We celebrated my mom's birthday while we were there and we surprised her with really cute cupcakes from Sprinkles which is a cute shop and the cupcakes are so yummy!! On Friday Tiffany, Audra, Kyle and I spent the day at Disneyland and had such a fun time. We didnt rush to get on every ride which was nice because we just enjoyed being there and had such a good time. The last day we were there my family had already gone home and Kyle and I just got to spend time together. We went to the beach and took a few pics and put our feet in the water but it was really cold that day so we didnt stay for very long. The rest of the day we walked around downtown Disney went to dinner and watched a movie. It was very relaxing and Kyle and I had such a good time just being together.

So I finally started transferring my cosmetology license from Utah to Nevada. For most people that know me they are probably thinking IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!! I know I have taken FOREVER to get this transferred but I have my reasons why it has taken so long. A lot of them are stupid but for me it has held me back. I am not going to lie being in a salon is kinda freaking me out and i know a lot if it is my nerves and the fear of the unknown. I haven't had a lot of practice outside of school so jumping into a salon kinda makes me nervous but I will say that I am so excited!! I cant wait to get my feet back into the industry and keep learning and growing because I want to be a great stylist. I want to make something of myself in this industry and I want to do great and make people feel beautiful!! I know it's not going to happen overnight and that it will take time but I am ready for it and I am so excited!!

Our First Valentine's Day!!

This past Valentine's Day was our first Valentine's Day being married and Kyle did such a good job in making it special and one to remember. The day started off pretty rough for me. I had a bad day at work and we got news from the vet that our puppy was sick. So me being the worried person that I am started freaking out and crying. I called Kyle once he was done with work and told him that he needed to rush to the vet's office and pick up Rex's meds so that he could start them asap. Keep in mind this is all happening around 5:30 and the vet closes at 6 and it's all the way on the other side of town. So Kyle goes to the vet and I pick up something for us to eat. When I got home Kyle surprised me with beautiful flowers and tickets to go see the show LOVE. We are both huge Beatles fans so I was stoked!!! The show was amazing and Kyle and I had such a fun time singing along and just being together. Kyle is such an amazing husband and he treats me like a princess. I am so lucky to have him as my valentine for eternity!!

Disneyland

A couple months ago my sister invited my sister-in-law Carrie and I to go to Disneyland with her and Cris. Cris is an autistic boy she works with and he goes to Disneyland every year for his birthday so Tiff was the one that got to take him and we made it a fun girls weekend out of it. The 4 of us had such a fun time at Disneyland!! Since Cris is autistic we were able to get a pass to the front of the line. I have to say it awesome having that pass because it was so packed the days we were there. The first day we were there we got through every ride we wanted to so we went on a lot of the kid rides and I have to say there are a lot of rides that I had never been on or even know existed!! We had such a fun time though and it was so nice being able to just relax and enjoy the park. The second day was a little harder because Cris wanted to do the same rides in the same order that we went on the day before so when we tried to mix it up a little he wasnt very happy with us. He wanted it his way or no way. So after a huge scene in a huge crowd of people we got him to be a little flexible and the rest of the day went pretty smooth. We got everything done pretty early in the evening so we went back to our hotel to relax in the spa. It was so nice because from our spa we could see the firework show at Disneyland!! The whole trip was great!! We all had such a fun time laughing and being silly together. Thanks Cris for sharing your birthday with us!!!

Phantom of the Opera!!

Kyle surprised me with tickets to Phantom of the Opera about a month or so ago. We had been wanting to see this show for so long so when Kyle found out about the 2 for 1 deal he couldnt pass it up. I am so happy he surprised me with these tickets because the show was AMAZING!!! I have seen the play once before and I heard they cut out a few things in the one here in Vegas to make it shorter so I was a little worried that it wouldnt be as good but I have to admit the one here in Vegas is WONDERFUL!!! The music is amazing, the costumes are beautiful, and the effects are crazy!! Overall Kyle and I loved it and I am so happy I have such a great husband that surprises me with such fun dates!!

I am not ashamed to admit that i am a complete gleek!! I love everything about Glee and I just found out that they are doing a tour!!!! yes you read that right the cast of Glee is doing a tour and i am so stoked!!! They will be in Vegas on May 21st and I HAVE to go!! =) They are doing songs from season 1 and 2 and i think it would be so much fun to see them live! YAY FOR GLEE!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I can't believe how fast 2010 went by!! 2010 was very good to Kyle and I. Of course the major thing in 2010 for us was getting married and being sealed for time and all eternity but a lot of other things happened as well. We had our rough moments such as me being laid off 2 times, me having issues with my eyes and doctors not knowing what it is, both of us getting into car accidents, our apartment almost got broken into, and etc. Even though our year had some tough times we have also had a lot of great times such as getting married, going to Florida, Kyle getting a job at Wells Fargo, me getting a job with the school district, we got a cute puppy, we welcomed a new niece into the family, we did the temple work for Kyle's uncle, our best friends got married and the other is engaged, and so much more!! 2010 was full of great memories and it's been even more fun being married and experiencing it all with Kyle. 2011 has started off being a good year and I have a feeling that it will stay that way. Yes I'm sure there will be bumps in the road and I might not achieve all of my resolutions but I think 2011 will be a great year and I am so excited to see what it has in store for us Millett's!!

IM GONNA BE AN AUNT AGAIN!!! My brother Matt and Natalie are expecting their first baby! Natalie is due on July 4th and my family couldn't be more excited for them! What makes it even more exciting is that July 4th is my grandma's birthday!! My family can't wait to have a baby in the family and my parents are so excited to be grandparents to more than just 2 dogs. lol I can't wait to find out what they are having so I can start buying fun things for it! I am so excited to spoil this baby but I promised Matt and Nat that I wouldn't spoil him/her to be a brat. =) I am so happy for my brother and Nat and I know they will be great parents and this baby is going to be so loved!! CONRATS MATT AND NAT!!!

The true meaning of Christmas

Through all the craziness this holiday season brings I was reminded today what Christmas is really all about. It's not about the gifts or the flashy lights but it's about our savior and his birth. His life was perfect, he was perfect, and his plan is perfect. He was sent to earth to be crucified and resurrected so that while we are on this earth we can have the atonement. His plan is perfect and I will be eternally grateful for my savior and what he did so that I may return to live with my Heavenly Father. Our savior has done so much for us and this Christmas season I try to think what I can give back to him. To give just a little more to my fellow men, to be obedient and try just a little harder to be more like him. To love as he did. He doesn't ask much from us but I feel as though I owe him everything. His love for us is eternal and this holiday season i hope that we can all take a step back from all the worldly things in our lives and reflect on our savior and what he did for us. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!!

OUR First Christmas!!!

This is our first Christmas being married and even though there are going to be a lot of changes with how we do things we are still very excited!! It wasn't feeling a whole lot like Christmas for me last week. Maybe it was because our tree wasn't up or maybe because I had no Christmas decorations up, but we finally put up our tree and it's now feeling like Christmas. Our tree is very simple and small but we love it! We love that it's OURS!! Everything is ours this Christmas our tree, our new traditions. We are so excited to merge our family traditions together but come up with our own as well. Of course the tradition of pajamas on Christmas eve will continue as well as many more, but we have been having fun coming up with our own family Christmas traditions. We have decided that every year we will donate a few toys to different toy drives, make gingerbread houses, and watch A Charlie Brown Christmas. I am sure that more will develop over the years but so far that's all we have. =) This Christmas is going be very different than what we are both used to but we can't wait to spend it together.

New Job!

I got a new job working for the school district and I am loving it!! I am working as a support staff substitute and I love it! Right now I am in a long term position at Jo Mackey Elementary School and I am having so much fun! I am in a Pre-K class and so I am with 4 year olds all day and they are so cute! The teacher I am working with also is really nice and really easy to get along with so that's always a plus. I am in this position until January or so so it's going to be hard to say goodbye but for right now I am just enjoying it. I can finally say I love my job and I enjoy going to work!!

We have a new addition to our little family!! Kyle and I got a puppy about 2 weeks ago. His name is Rex and he is such a cute little guy! He's about 9 weeks old now and he is such a playful puppy. He loves chewing on everything that's not his toys. His favorite is shoelaces and of course shoes. He is such a curious little guy too. He likes to get into everything and check out his surroundings. He truly is a puppy and we are having so much fun with him. He is a great addition to our home and we just can't get enough of him.

Lily Berniece Hansen was born on October 8, 2010 at 10:23 am and she is perfect! She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is a beautiful baby girl!! Lily and Kristin were released from the hospital the next day and they are doing great! We are all so excited to have Lily in the family! Congratulations Kristin and Chad you guys have a beautiful family!!

Happy birthday to me!! Last Thursday I turned 23 and unfortunately Kyle had to work but I managed to keep busy during the day until I got to see him. My birthday morning started off with breakfast in bed. It has always been a tradition in Kyle's family so it was really sweet of him to keep the tradition for our own family. After Kyle went to work I just relaxed until I went to lunch with my dad and brother. It had been awhile since I had seen my brother so it was really good to see him and the 3 of us had such a good time talking and catching up. My day continued with going over to Chad and Kristin's house to watch our niece Mattison while they went to the hospital so Kristen could be induced to have their new baby girl. During Kristin's whole pregnancy I kept telling her that she should have Lily on my birthday so when it could possibly happen I was really excited!! Watching Mattison is so much fun her and I always have such a good time and I just have so much love that little girl. Being an aunt is so much fun so spending my birthday with Matti was the best. The whole day she kept saying "happy birthday kim" it was really cute. That night we went to dinner with Kyle's family at Maggiano's and then after went and visited Kris in the hospital. Not much had changed so Lily being born on my birthday probably wasnt going to happen which was totally fine with me. When we left the hospital we went back and had cake and opened presents. I got so many good gifts I really was spoiled. My 23rd birthday was one I will always remember and I can't thank Kyle and our family enough for making it such a special day for me.

I have discovered Rod Works and let me just tell you all that I am OBSESSED!! It is my favorite store and they have the cutest home decor. I can't just go in there and not walk out with something. I can spend hours in there!! If you haven't been there you should go you will love it!! The pictures are a few things I have gotten to decorate my house and I am in love!! =)

Bountiful Temple!!

Thank you Priscilla for introducing me to these fun collages!!! They are so easy and fun i just love them!! This was when Kyle, my mother-in-law, and I went to Bountiful for our friend Danny's wedding. It was an adventure getting there but when we finally made it at around 4am it was all worth it. The sealing was beautiful and the happy couple looked great! The Bountiful temple is one of my favorites it's absolutely gorgeous so I was so excited to finally go inside! I love being in the temple! The spirit that is there is special I just love it. Thank you Danny for inviting us to your special day!

Millett Family Reunion

This past weekend Kyle and I went to Utah for a Millett family reunion and this time I am actually a real Millett!! =) The reunion was only on Saturday but we made a vacation out of it. We played at his dad's house on friday and then went down to Tropic Utah on saturday. I had never heard of Tropic but it's where my father-in-law grew up so I was taken on a little tour of the tiny town and was shown the house where Robb grew up as well as his parents old house. It was fun being with my new family and being introduced as the new member of the family. I love Kyle's family and we always have so much fun together. After the reunion there was a firework show because of it being Pioneer Day so we all bundled up and watched the show and talked. It was very relaxing and nice to just hang out. The day after we went to a few stores around town and took a ton of fun pictures and as you can see we got a couple good ones. lol Other than that we just took it easy and had a fun weekend with the family.

7) How long did you wait to Tie The Knot after your proposal: about 4 months...they were the longest 4 months of my life!!

8) Who did you hire as your photographer & videographer? my really good friend Stephanie Patterson did our pictures. She's amazing if you need a photographer go to her shes amazing and so much fun!! My cousin Brian was our videographer! He's amazing too! They both did such a good job!

9) Did you have a DJ or a band? none we just had an ipod going

10) Did your father walk you down the aisle? No...we don't do that kind of thing in the temple.

11) What color were the bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen vests? Bridesmaids wore a black knee length dress with a pink sash and the groomsmen wore black pants black shirt and a pink tie.

12) Who was your Maid Of Honor/Best Man? my sister was my maid of honor and im not sure who was kyles best man he has 2 brothers so i guess they both were...i dunno =)

13) Did you have a Bridal Shower? Yes, I had 2 thanks to my lovely sister and awesome aunt! They were both really fun and I got a ton of fun things!!

14) What type of limo did you get? we didnt have a limo we just had Kyle's car...exciting i know!

15) Where did you go for your Bachelorette/Bachelor Party? Well we all went and got a mani pedi and then went to dinner at Buca De Bepo. It wasn't anything huge but it was a nice way to spend my last night single and it was fun having family and friends with me. =)

16) What type of wedding gown/tux did you two wear? I wore a GORGEOUS gown that i absolutely LOVE!! i wish i could wear it more i love it that much and Kyle wore a black tux with a pink vest and a pink and black striped tie. We were lookin hot on our wedding day!

17) How was the weather? It was perfect!! it was a little windy at the temple while we were taking pictures but after that it was perfect!!

18) Where did you go on your Honeymoon? We went to Orlando, Fl and went to disney world and the beach! it was very relaxing!

19) What was your favorite parts of your wedding day? My favorite part was the whole day but I think some of my favorite moments was when it hit me that Kyle and I were finally married and that we were going to be together for eternity. I also loved taking pictures with my bridesmaids right before the receptions. We were so wild and crazy it was the best!!!

June and July for the Millett's

So it has been awhile since i have posted anything so in this post im just going to sum up the past 2 months for our little family. June was a fun month for us our really good friend Jordan got married to the love of his life Kristen and we couldnt be happier for them. Kyle was a groomsman and he was lookin H-O-T in his tux!! =) We are so excited for Jordan and Kristen and even more excited that we have another married couple to hang out with!! June was also Father's Day and since Kyle's dad is living in Utah we spent the holiday with my dad here in vegas and we had such a good time with my family! We spent the evening playing bocci ball and had a bbq! Kyle and I kicked my dad and Tiff's butt in bocci ball but it was a pretty close game they put up a good fight! =) Even though Kyle isn't a dad yet and won't be anytime soon (don't get any ideas) I got him a tie for his first fathers day gift. my mom also got him a card and a huge bag of cereal. lol for those of you who dont know my husband is obsessed with cereal. lol I am so blessed to have such an amazing dad who is such a great example to me and who loves and cares so much for his family. I LOVE YOU DAD!!! I am also blessed to have such an amazing husband who will makes a great dad one day to our children!! I am so grateful for the fathers in my life!!! June was also my brother in laws 25th bday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!! To celebrate we went to dinner with the whole family and opened gifts and ate cake! July has gone by so fast i can't believe it's almost over!!! On July 3rd we went to a 51's game with Kyle's family. The 51's lost but we still had a good time. It was so funny there was a little girl in front of us with a foam finger and Mattison really wanted one so she was constantly asking Kyle and I to get her a finger! it was so hard saying no to her she was so cute saying "Kyle can you get me a finger please?!?" how can you say no to that?? she is so stinkin cute!!! oh i just love that girl!!! There was also a really good firework show after the game and poor Matti got scared but I think eventually she enjoyed it like the rest of us! On July 4th we hung out with my parents and grandpa and had another bbq and set off fireworks. It was very chill so it was nice. Kyle turned 22 on the 6th and let me just tell you he was SPOILED!!! =) he is very loved thats for sure!!! With my family we all went to PF Changs for dinner and then afterwards opened gifts and ate cake with extended family. The one thing he really wanted was a new stereo system for connie (his car) and so my family all pitched in and got him one so he was really excited about that. With his family we got together and his mom made her awesome lasagna and after we went bowling as a family. Kyle is very loved and had a great bday!! Last week Kyle and I spoke in church for the first time as a couple!! I wasnt too thrilled when we were asked. I think the last time i spoke was when i was the youth speaker so it has been awhile. I was asked to speak on how to build a gospel centered home and kyle was asked to speak about how to use the priesthood in the home. Both of our families came to support us and everyone said we did a good job even though i was super nervous!! I am just really happy it's all over now! =) That has been the last 2 months for the Millett family! I have pictures to go along with this post but those will come later!!

My New Calling!!!

So about 2 weeks ago Kyle and I got called into the Bishop's office at church to have an interview. I knew right then and there that one or both of us was going to get a calling!! Well turns out I was right and I was the one that got a calling! The bishop said the Lord was still working on Kyle. =) I am now in Young Women's serving as the beehive advisor and I am so excited!! My mom, step mother in law, and aunt all have the exact same calling so this is going to be really fun bouncing ideas back and forth about what kind of handout to make or how to make lessons more exciting for the girls. My step mother in law and step sister in law have a website called www.greenjellowithcarrots.com and they have the cutest handouts, games, primary talks, and relief society ideas ever! you name it they have it so if youre in need of any of that please look at their website its awesome!!! I will be using it all the time because i really want to make things fun and exciting for the YW in my ward and I want to keep their attention and get them excited about the gospel. This calling will be hard for me in the sense that I have to teach like every week and that scares me but im trusting the lord that he will help me get over my fear and that I will do great! Other than that I am so excited and ready for this calling. I love working with the YW and even though I still feel like I should be in YWs it will be fun and I really hope they like having me as a leader!!

For the past 2 months or so i have been having issues with my eyes. They have been burning, itchy, swollen, and i have had bright red circles around them. I thought it was just allergies and they would go away so i didn't really think much about it but after taking every allergy medicine in the book and changing all my make up and everything i put on my face it still didn't go away. Well yesterday morning I woke up crying because they were burning so bad i knew it was time to do something about it so i went to quick care. Right when the doctor came in all he could say was why did you wait this long to get it taken care of and then told me i have an eye infection in both eyes. how i got an infection i have no idea but they put me on a bunch of drops and meds so i am hoping they help and it goes away soon especially because it was so expensive!! After my trip to quick care I hung out with my mom and had a relaxing day with her. It was nice spending some one on one time with my mom. her and i always have a blast together and we had a good time considering the circumstances. =)

On Memorial Day weekend I had to work when everyone else had the day off so I was kinda bummed but when I got home from work Kyle had cleaned the house without me having to ask and he planned a fun date night for us.

We went to the bodies exhibit. If you havent been you should it's amazing!

He then took me to dinner at our favorite place Olive Garden.

There is a story behind the peppers at olive garden so i had to get a picture of it. lol Pretty much Kyle bit into a really juicy pepper and the juice from it squirt so far that it hit the couple at the next table. haha

Our night ended with coming home and just relaxing together. It was such a fun night and it was something we both needed!! I can't thank Kyle enough for planning that for us! =)

Fun Filled Weekend

This past weekend was so much fun for me and Kyle. We spent a lot of time with our family and had such a good time. On Friday Kyle and I both have the day off so that's the one day during the week that we get to spend all day together and we love it! This past Friday we found out Kristin was having another girl so while we were running errands we took a trip to my favorite store target and got a cute little outfit for our new niece and we couldnt leave Matti out so we got her one as well! =) i love having nieces it's so much fun spoiling them!! =) Friday night we had a family BBQ to celebrate the Blackhawks being in the finals. They lost game 4 but made up for it on Sunday with a sweet win! YAY! Kyle's family is a HUGE hockey fan so this is a big deal and I have grown to love it as well so it's fun! Saturday after work Kyle and I went out with my parents and sister for dinner and a movie. We saw Killers and let me just say that movie is a must see! if you havent seen it you should it's really funny! After the movie kyle got a call that his family was going bowling so of course we couldnt miss out on that so we went bowling and I had the worst games of my life! i got 80 my first game and it just got worse after that but we had such a fun time and Matti loved it as well! She was so cute when it was her turn to bowl. Kyle and I have such great families and we love when we get to spend time with them!!

New Job

The day Kyle and I got home from out honeymoon I found out I was laid off from my job at V&V. It was kind of bitter sweet news. I was having a hard time being there due to office drama so when i found out I was excited but upset due to the timing of just being married. The lord really looks after us and answers our prayers though because within 2 weeks I had a new job and with the economy the way that it is right now I got really lucky. I love my new job! I am working as a receptionist for a marketing company and I love it! it is very laid back and my boss is so much fun to work with. For the 2 weeks I wasn't working I was going crazy! I got out new place put together and started on thank you cards but being home alone all day drove me nuts!!! I think I am just so used to working that being unemployed was really hard for me. I am so grateful to finally have another job I really am blessed!

In 4 days I am going to marry my best friend and I cant wait!!! Being engaged has been so much fun but I am more than ready to have it all be over with so kyle and I can start our life together. Planning our wedding has been such a piece of cake! Both of our families and friends have been such a huge help that everything just came together so well. I can't thank my family and especially my parents enough for being so helpful and supportive through all of this. My parents have been so great with making our wedding special and getting all the little details perfect for us. I love them so much and i really am going to miss living at home, watching tv, talking to my mom late at night because we both cant get to sleep, fighting with my dad for the remote, and so much more! I love my parents to death but I know that even though I am moving to the next step in my life I can always come home and visit them and believe me I will!! =) So this is a special thanks to my mom and dad for being such a huge help and with everything and especially for being such amazing parents. I love you guys so much and I cant thank you enough for all you do for me.

A couple weekends ago kyle and i were able to babysit his niece mattison while kristin and chad went to a concert and we had so much fun with her. she is such a good girl and she is so much fun to play with. she loves watching her shows and i wont lie i got pretty into them and was even laughing at the stupid parts. =) kyle was laughing at me because i would laugh and matti wouldnt. lol matti had so much fun playing with my camera and taking pictures of herself. it was cute because we taught her to say "cheese" and every time she would take a picture she would say cheese. she also loves playing with her uncle kyle and she loves when he throws her in the air. kyle is so good with her i just know hes going to be an amazing dad one day. kyle and i love spending time with mattison and we cant wait to babysit her again! This is the day I went through the temple and by the time we got done with our session it was already dark and late so this was the only picture i was able to get of me and kyle in the car on our way home. the temple was so amazing i cant thank my family and friends enough for being there with me to support me. it was such a good experience and the spirit was so strong. being in the temple is amazing and i cant wait to go back again!!

Here are some pictures from the bridal shower my aunt kathy threw for me. it was such a good turn out and i had so much fun!! it was pretty laid back which was really nice. it was mainly just food and gifts my favorite! my aunt got a huge fruit arrangement from edible arrangements and it was so yummy!! i just love those things they are always so cute you never want to ruin it by eating it. =) i got a lot of fun gifts mainly for our apartment and i just love them all! when im done with all the decorating it's going to be one cute apartment thats for sure. haha i cant thank my aunt and bekah enough for throwing me a shower they are the sweetest girls ever i just love them!!! thanks again for everyone who came! love you all!!

Bridal Shower!

So my sister threw me a bridal shower a couple weeks ago and it turned out amazing!! I hate that i have no pictures to show from it but hopefully ill get some from my sister soon. It was so nice having my close friends and family there to celebrate me getting married. My sister did such a good job planning it and my future sister and mother in law did such a good job with the food and game. The game was to see how well i know kyle and if i got a question wrong i had to put a piece of bubble gum in my mouth. I did a pretty good job considering there were over 40 questions but i did have a mouthful of gum by the end of the game. =) That's why kyle and i are getting married though so i can learn all these random facts about him like how often he wears his retainer to bed (gross i know) or what kind of gun he uses when he plays war craft with his brothers (sad right?) but i am really excited to learn all these things about him because i am so in love with him and i love finding out new things about him. =) So anyways...the bridal shower was a success and i got a lot of cute fun things and i cant thank my friends and family enough for supporting me and being there for me. I love you all!!

I'm going there THURSDAY!!! =) Ever since I was little I have always dreamed about going to the temple and next Thursday my dreams are finally coming true!! I have been going through temple prep classes and it has gotten me so excited about receiving my endowments! Being in temple prep has been extra special because i have had my own private lessons and my parents and kyle have been able to experience them with me. I cant thank them enough for sharing this special time with me. I have already had all my interviews with my bishop and stake president and everything is set and ready to go and i cant be more excited!! i have waited for this day my whole life and it's finally here!!

Kyle and I have been searching for a place to live for the past few weeks and we finally found a place we both LOVE!!! They are called the Tavoli apartments and we are so excited to move in!! It is a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment and it's perfect for us. We don't need anything huge right now so it works out great! We get our keys on March 20th and I think that's when Kyle will move it. It works out well because that's a few weeks before the wedding so we can get things organized and situated. We even get to paint so that really makes me happy!! Everything just worked out so nicely for us and we can't wait to have a place of our own!!

Everyday I get an email called Daily Gems and they are different quotes and talks from general authorities. I really like getting these everyday because it starts my day off right and I love hearing the words of our general authorities. The one I got today was from Thomas S Monson called "Curbing Anger" and it was pretty much saying that when we are angry we are yeilding to the influenses of satan. Being angry is a choice we make and if we want the spirit in our lives we need to refrain from being angry and that it is possible. I loved this!! I hate feeling anger and I hate that when im angry I don't feel the spirit. When we're happy we have the spirit with us and I know for me that's the best feeling ever. Sometimes it's hard not feeling angry when something doesn't go your way and for me its always the stupid little things that get me upset but like Thomas S Monson said being angry is a choice and I think all of us need to remember that. I am really grateful for this quote and I am going to make it a goal to refrain from becoming angry because life it so much better when we're happy. So take the advice and be happy!!

GIRL'S NIGHT!!!

So every Thursday night kyle and his brothers and brother in law have what they call "guy's night". it is where they go over to Kathy's house and play video games until sometimes 4 am. Thank goodness kyle only plays for a couple hours and then goes to bed because otherwise he would never get up for work the next morning. I think this is good for kyle having guys night because it gives him the chance to hang out with his brothers and he needs that. Since Kyle does this on Thursday nights Josh's wife Carrie and I decided to have our own "girls night" and since we both LOVE Gray's Anatomy and Private Practice we thought it would be a good idea to spend our thursday nights watching our shows while the guys have their fun. This was the best idea ever cuz Carrie and I have so much fun together and we both love grays so it works out perfectly!! Now we just need to get the rest of the millett and hansen girls to get into the show so it can be one big gray's party!! =)

Gift Registering

Kyle and I went and started registering last night at Bed Bath & Beyond and can i just tell you all that it is the best thing ever!!!! Kyle of course was in charge of the scanner and i think that was his favorite part. he had so much fun with it i couldnt help but laugh. We got there pretty late but all the workers were so nice and helpful they let us stay past closing time so we were there until about 11 at night. We had so much fun going around the whole store picking out all the fun things we wanted for our house. ill just tell you now our house is going to be CUTE! lol just teasing! =) it was so much fun picking out our dishes and all the fun kitchen gadgets. I didnt realize there were so many things to pick from we had a hard time deciding! we also had fun picking out our bedding and thinking how fun it is going to be to finally get to live together. no more curfews and my mom throwing shoes at us to let us know it's time for bed!! haha you think im joking but it's true! When she was growing up the rule was one boot at a time and once the second boot was thrown grandpa's foot was next!! haha but anyways we didn't get to finish everything but the things we did register for im really excited about!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! 2009 was such a crazy year it was filled with a lot of milestones for me but I have grown so much in this past year and I am so grateful for all the things I have been able to learn and accomplish. 2009 started off a little rocky with the loss of both my grandmas. It was a hard time for my family but it also made my family grow closer together and I am so grateful to have such an amazing family. The knowledge of the Gospel made such a hard time seem not so bad. I love knowing that this time apart from my Grandmas and Grandpa is only temporary and that I will see them again. On a more lighter note I was also able to finish hair school and get my license so i can start my career. I dont think I could have made it through school and state boards without a few good friends helping me along the way. It is so nice to have schooling out of the way for right now so that I can start supporting Kyle once he get into school. I also left Utah and moved back to Vegas and found a great job. In 2009 Kyle got home from searving a full time mission in Brazil. He loved his mission and hopes to someday go back and visit. He also still keeps in contact with old mission buddies and ward members. I am so happy he loved his mission but I am even happier that he is home. This year Kyle and I got to take 2 trips together to visit his family and Disneyland for my sister's bday. To end the year Kyle and I got engaged and will be married in April. We are both super excited to start our life together. 2009 was a good year but 2010 is going to be even better and I can't wait to see what it has in store for both me and Kyle.

I have always dreamed about my wedding and just like every other girl I had a picture in my mind about what it would look like the groom, the dress, the flowers, bridesmaids, everything. i had it all planned out and i cant tell you how many times i would write it all down and i always thought actually planning it would be a piece of cake, but now that it's here and i am living this deam it's a lot harder than i thought! Kyle and I are having so much fun planning our wedding and he has been such a big help I couldnt ask for a better fiance! I have had a lot of help from friends and family and they have all been so great i love them!! There is still a lot to be done before the big day but it is all slowly coming together and i am so excited to see how everything turns out. I know it's going to be better than what I pictured so I am really excited!! So I was reading my friend Alyssa's blog and she made a post about the things she is grateful for and I thought it was a really good idea with Thanksgiving right around the corner so im gonna steal the idea and do it myself. First of all i am so grateful for my parents they have always been so supportive of me and even though i can be a little brat at times they always make it known that they love me and i hope one day i can be that great of a parent to my kids. I am gratful for my sister tiffany growing up her and i never got along but now shes one of best friends and i love her to death. she always finds time in her busy schedule working 3 jobs to text me or call me just to see how i am doing and i love her for that. she is so giving and loving and i wish i could be as amazing as she is. I am also grateful for my brother Matthew he just recently passed the bar and i am so proud of him. he has always been such a great brother to me and he always knows how to make me laugh. Im SOOOOO grateful for my fiance Kyle he puts up with all my crap and loves me anyways. hes my best friend and he knows just what to do to brighten my day when im sad and i love him with all my heart and i am so lucky to be marrying such an amazing guy. I am truly grateful he was put into my life. My friends because they have always been there for me no matter what time of day it is, my extended family cuz life is always full of laughter when they are around, and Im also grateful for a having a job with the economy the way that it is, my car even though the whole passengers side is ghetto it runs, my phone cuz i would be lost without it my parents say its my life, my clothes cuz they keep me warm now that its getting cold, a house for the same reason, food cuz i love to eat, my education, the knowledge of the gospel and the happiness it brings into my life and that i can be with my family for eternity, and i am especially grateful for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and for the love they have for me because i know they know me personally and want me to be happy and i am so grateful they have given me such an amazing life with wonderful people in it.

So a lot of new things have been happening in my life and they have all been super exciting!! I still need to post my birthday and halloween (i know im a slacker) but I dont have all the pictures just yet on my computer to show you so those will come later. To fill you all in with whats going on I GOT ENGAGED!!! Kyle proposed last Saturday up in the mountains with all our family there to see and it was perfect!!!! The scenery was beautiful and the weather was nice and it was just perfect i loved it!! ill give more details later when i have the pictures but thats my exciting news!! I'm getting married to the love of my life and my best friend and im going from Miss. to Mrs!!!!

HE'S HOME!!

So Kyle got home from his mission yesterday!! YAY!!! his flight was supposed to get in around noon but they got delayed in New York for an hour so he didn't get to Vegas until about 1:15 or so. his whole family minus carrie his sister in law was at the airport. it was fun cuz when he left his sister kristin was pregnant with his neice mattison so yesterday was the first time he met her and the whole day he could not stop telling everyone that she was his neice. he is a very proud uncle! he's very cute with her! when he finally got here i wasnt sure how it was going to be with us. i wasnt sure if he was going to give me a hug, shake my hand or just give me a smile and walk along so i just kinda stood back and he came up to me and gave me a hug and told me that he loves me. it was the perfect greeting!! when we left the airport we went to his mom's house and ate some in-n-out and waited until 5 so he could get released. after he was released we went to his favorite place to eat (olive garden) and had dinner with his family and my parents. while kyle was on his mission i had a huge chain and every week i would take off a link until he was home so for the last link i had him come over and take it off for me. it was really cute! i told him that i no longer have a "missionary" and his response was "no you have an RM" it may sound corny but it was cute at the time. having him home has been so much fun. everything just kinda fell into place and it's like he never left. i was so scared that things would be weird and awkward between us but thats not it at all! what a relief!! =) everything is perfect right now i love having him home!!

So it has finally been 2 years and in 4 days Elder Kyle Layton Millett will finally be home!!!! he gets home at noon and i cant wait!!! i took the day off work and everything so that i could be at the airport to see him get off the plane!! i have been waiting 2 years for this and its finally here!! IM SO EXCITED!!!! it's not set in stone yet when he will be giving his homecoming talk with general conference coming up and everything but we'll let everyone know when it is!!!

Back In Vegas

Well it has been a really long time since i have put a new post on my blog so i figured it was time to fill you guys in on whats going on in my life. i moved back to vegas and im living with my parents again. living back home kinda has its pros and cons like i really miss all my friends back in provo and i miss the freedom of being on my own and having awesome roommates but it's nice being with my family again and not having to pay rent anymore has been really nice. =) i finished hair school and as of right now im just waiting for my Utah license to get here. the only problem is then i have to transfer it to nevada so i can get started in a salon. so doing hair has kinda been put on hold for right now but im still doing close friends and familys hair at home. while i wait for my license to get here i am working in a law office called vannah and vannah. its been pretty fun but it's something totally new for me. i am used to working with kids and doing hair and im stuck behind a desk working on the computer all day. im not complaining though i am really blessed to have a job and the people i work with are really fun so it's nice. i feel really lucky but that's it for me life is great!!

Valentines Day

So i made it through my last and final valentines day without kyle. it was a hard one thats for sure. i had school today and as you know my school is all girls and everyone was getting flowers! they were all over the place and none were delivered to me. =( oh well though i survived. a couple friends of mine at school have missionaries as well so we stuck together. once i got home from school it was time to have a girls night with my awesome roommies!! we ate pizza and watched a ton of chick flicks! it was a good night i cant really complain. i have to admit though i cant wait for next valentines day when i can spend it with kyle. <3 <3 <3

Update on Elder Millett

So i figure i have been talking a lot about myself i guess its time to tell you guys how kyle is doing. these are a couple pictures that elder radmall gave me that i thought were really good. i love the one of kyle sleeping during scripture study. typical kyle always taking a nap. the others are of a guy they baptized and them with their comps at the temple. i have other pics that ill put up to show you what kyle is up to. for right now though kyle has been having a hard time. he is feeling a little homesick and he has a really hard comp that doesnt really do anything so kyle does all the teaching and its starting to wear him out. hes feeling exhausted but kyle is a strong missionary and hes very positive so hes gonna be fine. kyle is also the district leader so he needs to be an example to all the other missionaries. hes working really hard and being a DL is keeping him really busy. he also just got my christmas package a couple weeks ago and he loved it!! he really liked the calendar i made him as well as the tie and volcom shirt. kyles obsessed with volcom so i knew he would love that but im glad it got to him alright and hes enjoying it. other than that kyle is doing great he is really leaning on the lord right now and putting his trust in him. please keep kyle in your prayers though he needs all the support he can get.

School

i finally went back to school after having a break for 2 weeks. it was so nice to have a break and get away for awhile but now its time to get focused on school again. its been a hard transition getting back into school but im doing alright. i have had a lot of clients since i have been back so its been making the time go by really fast. i have had a lot of people coming in for highlights so i am doing those a lot lately and im actually getting a lot better at them. im still slow but they are turning out really nice. i had 4 highlight in a row that week and it was starting to get really old. i want to do something different so that i can work on my skill but its alright color is what makes you the most money so i gotta get really good at it. i also have been doing a couple haircuts that trun out pretty good and then just a couple styles and pedicures. they have been keeping me busy so its nice. it makes the week go by really fast which is always a good thing. i had my first saturday back and it was a killer!! its hard going in on saturday but it was a really good day for tips thats for sure! i made 26 bucks in tips with only 3 clients so it was awesome!! i did a color, a style, and an updo. i also sold product!!! selling product is huge so i was proud of myself. school is really good right now im finally building my confidence in it and im really enjoying it.

Elder Radmall is home!

Linz and I went to vegas a couple weekends ago to see the famous elder radmall kyle has always been telling me about! he was kyles companion for about 3 months and they became best friends. tyler is a great guy and he had some really fun stories to tell linz and i about kyle. the 3 of us went to lunch on saturday and all we did was tell stories back and forth about kyle. it made me miss him but at the same time i couldnt help but smile. tyler was saying that kyle is a great missionary and he is always so positive even though things suck at the time. tyler and kyle had a lot of fun together and they both realy miss each other. they are gonna have a lot of fun once kyle gets home. they plan on staying buddies forever which i think is a good idea so im excited for them. tyler also gave me my christmas gifts from kyle and i was so excited!!! kyle got me some jewlery, a soccer jersey, and a nametag! he did such a good job i loved it all!!! tyler did an awesome job on his homecoming talk. he told a story about kyle so that made me laugh. overall the trip was a blast linz and i had a really good time.

So i was able to go home for christmas. i got to vegas on the 19th so i was there for tiffs bday. to celebrate her bday we went to outback and had brownies. so good i loved it! she got a wii fit and im so jealous cuz that thing is awesome i had so much fun playing on it. hint hint dad i want one. lol chrictmas eve we went to my grandparents house for dinner and that is always fun. tiff brought roxy and mia is so cute with her! she kept feeding roxy food and in order to get mia to eat we had to treat her like roxy. it was funny! shes such a cute little girl i love mia. when we went back home tiff and i got the traditional pajamas and we watched a christmas story. its a classic my family loves that movie! christmas morning we woke up and opened presents and to my surprise i got a WII!!!! i was so excitded i had no idea i was going to get one!!! i also got some clothes and some fun stuff for school!! who would have thought a hair dryer, hair clips, and capes would be so exciting but they are for me!! thanks tiff!! christmas was a blast and i got to spend it with my family so that made it even better. my family is so awesome it always sucks when i have to come back to good ol utah. i stayed in vegas for about 10 days so it was really nice. i love being able to sleep in my own bed and have my moms cooking and its just great i love being home in vegas. i wasnt able to stay for new years cuz i had to be in a fashion show for school. it was this huge thing that my school had been working on for months so it was a big deal. i was one of the models and it was a lot of fun. the outfit wasnt really my style but its all good i still had fun. it was a lot of hard work putting the show together but it turned out great and everyone seemed to enjoy it! after the show my friends and i stayed for the dance and david archeletta performed and so did ashley tisdale. it was awesome. we had a good time but i did miss kyle once it hit midnight cuz everyone was getting their new years kiss and i was just chillin there. i thought of him though so i guess thats as good as it was gonna get. lol it was a good night thouhg i had a lot of fun with my girl friends.

SNOW!!

so this is m first winter in utah and can i just tell you now that I HATE THE SNOW!!! the first time it snowed and i had to drive in it was the scariest experience of my life!! i live up on a HUGE hill and driving down is scary! someone ran their car into the poll at the bottom of it so its of course that freaked me out cuz everyone who knows me knows that i am not the best driver so with my luck i would be the next one running into that poll! luckly i made it down the hill ok but the streets are covered in ice so your car loses traction and you slide around! so as i am driving i call my dad asked him how to drive in snow and the first thing he said was GET OFF THE PHONE! i know im stupid right!?!? haha but he told me that i just need to drive slow (thats a task for me cuz i love to speed), give yourself enough room between cars, and when you slide turn the wheel the direction you are sliding ( that makes no sence to me!!). so the first time my car slides im in a parking lot at school and im freakin out cuz there are cars all around me and im gonna hit one of them but i didnt so thats good. pretty much i just hate snow and walking in it sucks too cuz i fall all the time and i slip on the ice and it scares me.

ok so i have been yelled at by many people that i havent updated my blog and i know i have been really bad at it but i feel like nothing has really been going on thats exciting to share. its been since November so ill think of whats been going on since then. for thanksgiving my parents, tiff and i went to san diego to spend the holiday with my uncle paul and his family. i love when we hang out with them cuz we always have such a good time. we got there on thanksgiving day and when we got there it was time to chow down on the yummy food. the food was great as always and after we ate it was time for the turkey bowl! its a tradition to play football and this time my team won and the kids got MVP!! yeah thats right we kicked butt this year!! my ucle always says that every trip we need to do something educational so the next day we piled everyone up and went to sea world!!! thats educational right? lol it was so much fun i love watching all the shows they always amaze me! we went with all the kids too so it was cute seeing them all get excited. i swear i was just as excited as the kids!! they also have this new water ride there that is pretty fun but after getting wet and it being a really cold day we decided it was time to leave. the rest of the time we just hung out and played games. we played how to host a murder and i didnt really wanna play at first but i had so much fun with it i wanted to play more!! overall the trip was a blast. i love getting time to spend with my family cuz they all so goofy and we just cant help but have a good time.

So this weekend i went home to vegas to see my friend Weston report his mission!! he got home wednesday so it was really fun seeing him again! he did such a good job on his talk as well you can really tell that he was an amazing missionary. its so crazy that my friends are finally getting home from their missions!! its making me feel old but its awesome seeing them again!!

So Linz, Nikki, Heather, and I all went to see the midnight premier of Twilight!! The night started when we got to Gateway around 8 to do a little shopping and of course the poor college student that i am i didnt get anything...sad!! Linz of course got some really cute jackets that i might just have to steal sometime. haha we then went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen or whatever that place is and it was AMAZING! our waiter was pretty cool but every time he would come check on us he would touch either me or Heather!! it was so weird but the food was great so it's ok. when we finally got to the theater we found out that we were apart of a group that rented out the theater just for us so that was pretty cool. they passed out vampire teeth to get us in the twilight spirit. it was fun. the movie turned out to be better than i expected!! i wasnt sure if i would like the guy who plays Edward but he turned out to do a really good job. I also was a little nervous that they wouldnt follow the book but they actually did!! it was such a good movie like i still cant get over it. when i went home to vegas for the weekend i went to see it again!! thats how good this movie is!! if any of you dont see this movie you are CRAZY!! =) trust me its worth it!! that was my twilight experience and it was AMAZING!!! =)

The best Monday EVER!!

So today was by far the best Monday ever at school!! i had 3 of my friends come in for haircuts and these boys are pretty picky when it comes to their hair and i did AWESOME!! they made me a little nervous at first cuz they think its funny to tease me but once i got going on their hair it went great!! they all loved their hair and when my instructor came to check it all she did was fix a little around the ears for the first 2 guys and then for my friend Chris she didnt fix a thing!!! i was so proud of myself i cant get over it!! YAY!!! it feels so good to finally have the confidence in myself and know that i can do this!! oh and another awesome thing is that i get to write kyle today and tell him all about it!! LIFE IS GOOD!!!

Thanksgiving

So for Thanksgiving it looks like im gonna be pretty busy! i was invited to go to dinner on Wednesday at kyle's dads house so i am pretty sure ill be at that. im really excited to see all of his family again because it's been forever! im kinda nervous about it though because everyone is going to have their significant other and im just going to be chillin there. its gonna be fun though im looking forward to it. on actual thanksgiving im flying to san diego to spend it with my family. we're having it at my uncle pauls house this year and its always fun when my dads side of the family gets together because we are all so goofy and just like to have a good time. im also really looking forward to the turkey bowl this year. we will see how that goes down when the time comes but i have a lot to look forward to these next few weeks or so!! oh and also the week i get back from thanksgiving break i move up to senior class at school so my schedule is gonna change to Tuesday-Saturday and im not sure how i feel about that yet. but thats whats going on for now!!

So every morning i always wake up to lindsey getting into the shower at about 6:30 and i know i have to get up right after she is done. so i get up around 7 because i have to be at school at 8:30 so this morning i heard her get into the shower and i didnt wake up when she got out and when i looked at the clock i only saw the minute hand on the 15 so i freak out thinking im late. this whole time i am wondering why my alarm didnt go off but i just figured it did and i turned it off not knowing. so im freaking out getting ready as fast as i can and im about done getting ready and my alarm goes off!! i looked at the clock again and it turns out i woke up an hour earlier than i should have and lindsey just woke up earlier than usual and couldnt get back to sleep so she got ready. my whole morning got thrown off cuz of this!! thank goodness i was able to go back to sleep for awhile after i got ready.

So today I had a men's haircut and i do pretty good at them for the most part but ever since i gave a little boy a bald spot (yes it happens) i have a hard time blending. I have been kinda hesitant since then but today i told myself i was just going to go for it and hope i do a good job and i did!! when i had my instructor come and check it to see if i missed anything she didnt have to fix a thing!!! They have a lot in common such as a girlfriend waiting back home and of course other things that made them become really close. On October 7th I turned 21!! i was lucky enough to go back to Vegas and spend it with my family. it was so nice to see everyone! It was a pretty relaxing weekend. it was conference weekend so my family and i just watched all the sessions and that Sunday we had more family come over to eat a big dinner. it was nothing huge but it was nice to be with family. I was also able to go visit kyle's family and i got to hang out with them for a little bit. they are so much fun it was good seeing them again. When i got back to Utah my roommates surprised me with this awesome confetti cake and it was my favorite too!! I have such awesome roomies!! it was a good birthday but it's really weird that i am 21!!

At school halloween is a huge deal and we put on this big fashion show and had a competition for the overall best costume. The theme was the good, bad, and the hairy. We were judged on our costume, makeup, and of course hair. we got into teams of 4 and one of us had to be the model so my wonderful friend Noel was our model and we made her into the best fairy ever! Her makeup looked amazing and her hair was awesome! The week before we practiced like crazy on her hair but the day of we changed it completely so it was pretty crazy there at the end trying to get it all put together. it looked awesome at the end but we were all pretty stressed! we didn't win anything but we had such a good time competing and seeing all the crazy ideas people came up with. I think the one that was by far the scariest was Lauren who was made into the joker! she played the part perfectly and freaked us all out! i think she could have easily been mistaken for the real thing.

Hair Extensions!!

Right now I am just going to school at Bon Losee and I love it! This past week I learned how to do hair extensions so i am way excited to start practicing and hopefully give them to someone. My sister Tiffany is way excited about it so im pretty sure she will be my first client. When I took the class I thought it would be harder than it really is but we'll see when that time comes. If anyone wants them though let me know!! =)

Elder Millett

Elder Millett is finally out working again after being stuck in the mission office for 6 weeks due to a fractured big toe. He had to wear a crazy looking shoe for awhile and then he had to wear a boot which he got the nickname bootsie from me. =) He was having a hard time there for awhile but they kept him there in Brazil for a reason. Kyle is an amazing missionary and he is so happy that he was able to stay and finish out his mission. For awhile there he was afraid they sent him back out to work too soon and that his foot wasn't all the way healed but he is doing great. His foot no longer bothers him and he's working hard as ever! I am so proud of Kyle for how strong he was throughout this whole thing.
